The Mysteires of Life
February 20, 2010 - March 6, 2010
Opening Reception: Saturday, February 20, 2010, 7 pm
Gala Gallery is proud to present oil paintings by Natalya Romanovsky.
Her art is bright, emotional and mysterious: “I want to transform the beauty around me into shapes. I try to think of my work as a process of simplifying something huge into a manageable pattern”.
In her art she creates these patterns being careful not to tame the wild energies of life. Her paintings are filled with intriguing ambience, reminiscence of something surrealistic, leaving the viewer to find a simple meaning of life in each work.
Romanovsky prefers to use traditional techniques that allow the paintings to be enjoyed for their unusual content. She freely draws inspiration from folk traditions and contemporary design concepts. The result is an original blend of the ancient and the inexplicable.
Natalya Romanovsky grew up in Moldova, a country located between the Ukraine and Romania. She lives now in Cleveland, Ohio. Romanovsky’s art is well collected and can be seen in galleries throughout Canada and the USA.
